Hillsboro - Bessie May Nine, 97, Rt 3, Veedersburg died at 4:05 a.m. July 8, 1994 at Culver Union Hospital, Crawfordsville following a lengthy illness. She was born in Richland Twp, Fountain County July 1, 1897, the daughter of Daniel and Catherine Danforth Nine. She had spent her entire life on the farm in RIchland Township. She was one of two people to graduate from the 1917 class of Richland Twp School. She taught Sunday School and was a member of Campbells Chapel Church now known as Community BIble Baptist Church. She was active int he RIchland Twp Sewing Club. She had worked all her life caring for her mother and sister at home. Surviving are a niece, Mildred Claypool, Mellott, two great nieces, Roberta Claypol and Guyeth Dunville; and a cousin who cared for Bessie, Joe (Dina) Nine, Rt 3, Veedersburg. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse; two sisters, Belle Parkinson and Rosa Nine and a nephew, Clyde Parkinson. Funeral services wer eheld at Maus Funeral Home in Hillsboro at 10 a.m. Monday with Pastor Richard Russell officiating. Burial in Campbell Chapel Cemetery, Rt 3, Veedersburg.

Hillsboro – Bessie May Nine, 97 of Rt 3, Veedersburg died at 4:05 a.m. Friday July 8 in AMI Culver Union Hospital in Crawfordsville, after a lengthy illness.  Born July 1, 1897 in Richland Township, Fountain County, she lived on a farm in Richland Township all of her life. She was one of two people who graduated from Richland Township HS in 1917.  She taught Sunday school and was a member of Campbells Chapel Church which is now known as Community Bible Baptist Church and she was active in the Richland Township Sewing Club. She worked at caring for her mother and sister at home.  There are no immediate survivors.

NINE (Bessie M) – Friends may call at Maus Funeral Home, Hillsboro 4-7 p.m. Sunday.  Services 10 a.m. Monday. Maus Chapel, Hillsboro.  Pastor Richard Russell officiating. Interment, Campbell Chapel Cemetery. Rt 3, Veedersburg.  Survivors include a niece, Mildred Claypool, Mellott; 2 great nieces, Roberta Claypool, Florida; Guyneth Dunville, Evasville; cousins who cared for Bessie, Joe and Diana Nine, Rt 3, Veedersburg. She was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse; 2 sisters, Belle Parkinson and Rosa Nine; and a nephew, Clyde Parkinson.
